Emmy-award winning photographer Mark Andrews is known for his well-crafted photographs of the land. He works with a vintage 4x5 field camera patterned after a 19th century design. He uses traditional 20th century color transparency film. Back in the studio, he creates his edition prints using 21st century drum scanners with gicle’ inks and media. His images illuminate his deep conviction that the beauties and complexities of the creation are evidence of the Creator. As an original pioneer of the gicle’ process in 1989, he has been able to explore many combinations of inks and substrates to produce his final prints. Mark was the first artist to have works rendered on the Roland wide-format canvas printer introduced at ArtExpo in New York City. Mark has worked as a guest instructor in field workshops and educational settings. His prints are collected nationwide for private and corporate collections. Since 2009, he has concentrated on printing previously unreleased images in art editions. He produces creative documentary videography on the latest Canon DSLR gear for public entities, museums and the national park system. |
