This image was made in one of the narrow slots at Cathedral Gorge State Park in Nevada. Beige, dull mud walls that look like chocolate frosting somehow come to life in the right light and with the right exposure. In this one, the camera is flattened to a very short focal length for the 65mm Schneider lens that is directed straight up. Dust is the challenge here; on the lens, in the film holders, everywhere. Made in the same formation as the two slot images in this collection. Photo by Steve Roberts.
